The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church at 1114 Oxmoor Road in Homewood for residents impacted by flooding. The shelter offers a safe place to stay, a hot meal and minor first aid. The Red Cross is also opening a shelter at Helena Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 3396 Helena Road in Helena.
