The Laps for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will host the fifth annual Sips for CF wine tasting competition at 7 p.m. on Aug. 23. The event will be held on the rooftop of the Kress Building, 301 19th St. North. Teams of one to three people will compete in the tasting competition. Each team must bring three bottles of the same wine. Two of these bottles will be used for the concealed tasting, and the third will be set aside as part of the grand prize. The event will also include food and drinks, music by the Grand Old Ivories dueling pianos and a silent auction. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Registration will begin and hors d’oeuvres will be served starting at 7 p.m. followed by the tasting competition at 8 p.m. For tickets or more information, visit www.LapsForCF.org or call 871-9140.
