Sprouts Farmers Market will open in Birmingham early next year, company officials said.
The store, Sprouts’ first in Alabama, should bring some 100 jobs to the community, according to a press release.
The store’s location and opening date will be announced later this year.
Sprouts officials said the store gives consumers a complete healthy grocery store experience featuring fresh produce, bulk foods, dairy, meat and seafood, a bakery, vitamins and supplements and more.
Sprouts stores also offer a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables; barrels of grains, nuts and sweets; fresh-baked goods; eclectic beers and wines; and natural, organic and gluten-free groceries.
Sprouts’ onsite butchers can help customers with special cuts of meat or seafood or homemade burgers and sausages.
Nationwide, Sprouts has more than 180 stores in 10 states.
