Mr. and Mrs. David Lee Stringer of Birmingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Renae, to Robert Eugene Spiegel III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eugene Spiegel Jr. of Huntsville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Pershing Gray and the late Mr. James Gibson Stringer and the late Mrs. Katherine Portera Stringer, all of Birmingham. 
Dr. Stringer is a graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She is employed with Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Capt. Robert E. Spiegel of Belvidere, Ill., and the late Mrs. Sieglinde Spiegel of Karlsruhe, Germany, and Major James McKee of Vineland, N.J.
Mr. Spiegel is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He is employed with The Boeing Company.
The wedding is planned for April 6.
