Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood will observe the beginning of the Advent Season Sunday evening, November 28, 2010 at 6 pm with a worship service of Hanging of the Greens and a program of sacred music of the season led by Trinity’s Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra.
In conjunction with “Hanging of the Greens,” the service will include scripture, prayers, liturgy, and it will be Trinity’s principal music program of the holiday season. The Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra will present anthems of the season, including works by Dan Goeller, and Dan Forrest. R. Scott Robertson, Trinity’s Director of Music, Theresa McKibben, Associate Music Director and Handbell Director Dan Hermany will be the conductors. The organist will be Debby Holmes.
Also featured will be Trinity musical ensembles Praise Alliance, Seeds of Faith and the William A Gardner Handbell Choir.
The evening’s soloists will be pianist Kathryn Fouse and vocalist Kneeland Wright.
There is no admission charge, and everyone is cordially invited. A nursery is provided, and free valet parking is available.
