
Ms. Jacqueline Erie Austin of Wetumpka and Mr. James Frank Trucks of Canton, Ga., formerly of Birmingham, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamelyn Austin Trucks, to Michael Christopher Stone, son of Dr. and Mrs. Harry Benjamin Stone III of New Bern, N.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Maxwell Austin Sr. of Wetumpka and the late Dr. and Mrs. James Frank Trucks Sr. of Birmingham.
Miss Trucks is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, a Priscilla with the Krewe of Rolling Elvi and a volunteer with the Young Leadership Council College Assistance Program.
She is employed with the Federal Emergency Management Agency in New Orleans as a group supervisor.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. Charles E. Holaday and the late Mrs. Florence R. Holaday of Albany, Ga., and the late Dr. and Mrs. Harry B. Stone Jr. of Roanoke, Va.
Mr. Stone received a bachelor’s degree in physics from the College of Charleston and a bachelor’s degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of New Orleans. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and the Krewe of Rolling Elvi.
He is working towards a master’s degree in business administration at the University of New Orleans and is employed as a project engineer for Tidewater Marine in New Orleans.
The wedding is planned for May 27.
