MBHS Students Win At Photo Competition

Mountain Brook High School students Maggie Hayes, Mariah Hoitt and Sarah Mouyal recently won awards in the Arts and Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County’s eighth annual Double Exposure Juried Photography Exhibit.Hoitt won best of show in the junior division using a digital SLR camera. LPMS Sixth Graders Host ‘Wax Museum’

To go along with a study of the 1920s, sixth graders at Liberty Park Middle School participated in a simulated “wax museum.”Parents were invited to see the students dressed as famous 1920s athletes, actresses, gangsters, politicians and other figures. Scouts Clean Up Historic Cemetery

Some 100 local scouts from the Vulcan District volunteered Jan. 8 to clean the historic Oxmoor Cemetery at Birmingham’s Red Mountain Park. The event was part of a celebration commemorating 100 years of scouting. OMHS Team Wins Second in BEST Contest

Oak Mountain High Tech Solutions, Oak Mountain High School’s robotics team, advanced to the B.E.S.T. (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) national/world competition in Orlando. LPM Celebrates Greek Day

Sixth grade students and teachers at Liberty Park Middle School recently participated in its annual Greek Day festivities.
